First sculpture off to the foundry!
by Christine Ford on 10/25/2008 6:43:22 PM

Clay sculpture after refining fur more.
My first completed sculpture, Jack Russell Terrier head study, is at the foundry! After getting some great comments from fellow artist's. I refined the fur more around the mouth and added some fur texture to the neck area below the collar. I felt very happy with the results and decided it was time to take it in to our local foundry "Adobe Forge & Foundry" in Albuq. I should have my first bronze next month!  Hopefully folks will like the personality I captured in the JRT head study and purchase him! I am having 3 cast to begin with. My husband and I will keep one (of course!) and I will have two to sell. I can always have more cast (up to 20, which is my edition size) should I be lucky enough to sell my first 2! I'll post pictures of my bronze when I have him back!
