This mezzotint required 3 plates (3 colors) to achieve this colorful print. This is a very difficult process. All 3 plates must be exact and line up perfectly. Each colored plate is printed seperatly, so if the registration of even one plate does not line up, your colors do not line up and the print is ruined.
